I'd try it for a year to get it out of your system. Modeling is a great way to see the world while saving some college money. However, set some specific goals for that year (such as "I must make at least $100,000 this year") and if you can't reach them within that year, I'd stop and refocus on school.

You can go to school any time you want. There's nothing that unusual about a non-traditional student these days. However, you will only be young enough to model for a small window of time.

You can make pretty good money even if you don't hit it big. A pretty caucasian model can make six figures if she's willing to travel to where the work is. Asia for one pays well and the jobs are plentiful. However, you will be away from home and lonely. There's a lot of partying that you have to be strong not to get caught up in as well. It's New York where you will probably remain a starving model. The average "working" NY model makes only $10,000 from modeling a year due to the stiff competition.

I agree w/ political guy for the most part. You MUST put your education first and foremost. Especially if we're talking high-school! The thing is: EVEN if you hit it BIG [& incidentally, the odds are NOT in your favor!] It will eventually come to an end... with no education "in your back pocket" then what? You're screwed. Same for guys with sports, although usually they're luckier due to sports being conducive to attending college simultaneously. But guys need that degree too! Say you blow out your knee @ age 25? Then, no more sports... you need the degree! Same with modeling.... you won't make enough $$ to last a LIFETIME! so by age 25, a model is considered "over" / "old news".... then what? you start all over!! So... school first!! Good luck!

Yes, b/c you only look that way once, and if you can get your foot in the door, go! Just don't give them any $ up front, get your own portfolio done with someone you trust, but I assume you have one. Perhaps you could home school for a little while. You can always go back to school.

I am going to be brutally honest, if you are talking about high school finish it. But if you are talking about college go make your money, an education doesn't mean any thing if you don't use it properly and most people don't anyway, and have wrongfully been lead to believe that with an eduation you will be successful. very few people are actually success just because of their education.

Absolutely not. My education is my top priority, and I sure as s-hit wouldn't give it up to put my anorexia-wracked body on display for everyone to see.
