I was told 3 x's and only leave the bowl for 15 minutes, but he usually doesn't eat that much during that time. So I feel he might be hungry after I have already fed him the 3rd time. Should I give him food again eventhough it's late?

A young puppy should eat 2-4 meals a day depending on his age. The food should be provided at set times. It also is important that someone is home to take the puppy out to eliminate within 20-40 minutes after meals. This will help with house training and will help to teach the puppy where to eliminate.

2x a day is enough..If he isn't eating much of the 3rd feeding, then he is getting to much. Don't feed after 5 pm or he will have to poop in the middle of the night.

Some people free feed, leaving the food down all day and picking it up after 5pm.. I did this for many years and never had a fat dog..

Enough to fill the bottom of the bowl, 3 times a day until she's +6 months old, then 2 times a day.

my rule for babies has always been to leave dry food free choice....small puppies can get hypoglycemic if they do not have food in their stomachs, therefore...I feed puppies 3-4 times a day until I feel they are mature enough to eat twice a day...which would probably be around 6-8 months, depending on the size.....

it is not recommended to leave dog food out all day because they will get sick of it. i feed my 15 week old puppies 3 times a day. they get a set amount each and it is left there til eaten.
stick to your schedule or he will become confused.
