ok.. my best friend(michelle) was dating my other best friend(Allen). I met both of them about the same time and from the first time that i met Allen i've always been attracted to his personality. I've known them for over a year now and i've been falling more and more in love with allen. LAst year, Michelle knew how i felt about him and still decided to date him. Now they broke up and me and allen are always together and hanging out. I want to date him and he wants to be with me too but Michelle will TOTALLY flip because she claims that she still loves him. If i were to start dating him, she'd hate me forever and i don't want that. What am i supposed to do????

Think hard and long about this one, which person will you miss the most in your life? It is clear you will lose one of them, is she the best gf, you have ever had?(even tho she puts her wishes before your feelings), And is this "the guy", you feel the strongest, you have ever felt for a guy? If you can answer one of these questions, then you will know who to choose. I don't even know these 2 people, but your gf, dated him, when she knew you liked him, but does not want you to date him now?? not fair, I would go for the boy, but you have to feel OK, with your choice.good luck

This is tough, all u need is a strategy.
1.He might want to date u to get michelle jealous and later dump u and get back with her. So in this case if u date him and he gets back with her then u r doomed cos u and michelle wouldnt be friends anymore.
2.Michelle knew u like him when she was dating him so now that u have a chance u could take it since u really like him.
U have to make this decision on ur own

Ugh! That's a tough situation! First, you need to be honest with Michelle about her ex. Talk it over with Allen and see what he thinks since he's part of the problem. It will probably hurt Michelle, but it would probably hurt her even more if she heard about you two through the grapevine. Best of luck! Remember, no good deed goes unrewarded.

Are you willing to have the big discussion with Michelle and actually ask her PERMISSION to date Allen? Are you willing to say to her that you find yourself drawn to him, but that you will not date him if she does not want you to?
No? Not willing to say that? Then why not just date him, and if she complains and rants, be very cool and explain that you could not see that you needed her permission, since she broke up with him. Tell her you're sorry she's upset, but you hope she'll get over it.
If, on the other hand, he broke up with her, you can understand that she might worry that the reason he broke up with her was in order to date you. That would be awfully damaging to her ego, and I don't think you would be able to talk her down from that.

Well unfortunatle you will not be abke to date Allen unless of course you want to have problems with your best friend....Its like an unwrittem rule to NEVER date a friends ex boyfriend ESPECIALLY your best friends. SO it really depends on how good of friends you are....you have already said that shes your best friend...so I would advise NOT to go for Allen...sorry...Im sure thats not what you wanted to hear

I would say that you had your chance, but Michelle took him first, and a rule of best friends is to stay away from each other's exes.
STILL, she stabbed you in the back big time. Personally I say dump her ***** *** in the gutter and go with Allen.

Well personally i believe best friends don't date each others ex bf but in your case its different she should never have gone out with him knowing how you feel that's not a friend and if hes not one of those egotistic guys who think they can have any girl they want than i say do it ! And if your friend hates you for that then she is not a friend cause friends get over these issues believe me i know first hand .

Ok... if your 16... don't date Allen, because it a few weeks to months he'll dump you anyways... that's how guys are. Now if your over 18... to hell with Michelle. She knew you liked him and she didn't respect your feelings about that; so she hooked up with him anyways... That tells me she don't care about you, so why should you care about her? She stabbed you in the back once, and she'll do it again. That's the problem with you girls; your all haters like that.

talk to your friend about how you feel. if she really still likes him then i think you should try to just be friends with him or hold off for her to get over him some more. remember, chicks before *****!!! hope you figure out what you wanta do and choose wisely because guys will come and go but true friends only come around every once and awhile.

HHMM.... THAT'S A TOUGH ONE. YOUR FRIEND SHOULD BE YOUR FRIEND FOREVER. GUYS SHOULD NEVER COME BETWEEN TRUE FRIENDS.
TALK TO THIS GUY ALLEN AND TELL HIM IF HE TRULY WANTS TO DATE YOU, WAIT UNTIL MICHELLE HAS FOUND ANOTHER. SHE'LL GET OVER HIM EVENTUALLY.
