what happened to hell? I know there should have at least been one person out of the bunch who have died and visit hell and God given them another chance to show them that they have to change their life around....or it helped them realize that hell is not a place they want to end up? I dont know maybe thats just me?

Yes there have a been a few that has gone to the "underside" of life. But most do go to the better place. some just wander towards the light or are placed in a white hall or room. Some people are in green meadows or a place where they meet up with looked ones who have already passed. Yes it is somewhat of an eye opener for people to change their lives. but every person who are NDE'rs have one thing in common, we all say that part of us are still over there. For everytime a person experiences an NDE another little part of themselves remain over there. In order to gain that part back you must either change your life or you get it back when you don't return back to your earthly body and stay in the afterlife. But my personal thinking on Hell, is that we live in Hell as we live here on earth so that we can go to Heaven in the afterlife.

It only proves Buddhist belief is correct. There's no hell the way Christians picture it out. The hell Buddhist sees it is the physical world. And there are many biblical verses that indirectly pointing out the Buddhist belief. You see those who died and came back only proves there is only one direction to go.

Besides, nowhere in Genesis that a verse pointing to the creation of hell. But was explicitly clear about the creation of Heaven and Earth.

No, I went to a full gospel business meeting during the 1980s and there was a Dr. there who told his story of how he had died and went to Heaven. But after, he was given a glimpse of hell.It was not nice, this Dr. said that Psalm 88 is the best description of hell, but he also said the smell was bad. Not the place to be. I think I'll just stick with Jesus.

I can't tell you about heaven or hell! But, i flat-lined and came out of my body once. I had a heart attack and was given shock therapy to revive me. I remember feeling light as a feather and the EMT saying. "Baby girl you have to live, because i don't know how to tell your mother" I then sat back Down in my body. I was in the "Mercy flight" at the time and i remember seeing and hearing all the machines in the helicopter beeping and buzzing. I didn't see light only the one on the ceiling! I guess, it wasn't my time yet. If i had seen heaven i probably would have stayed...ha-ha!

i agree with neil but im unsure if in the same way ...
i have not heard any NDE that described heaven in a biblical way , nor have i heard any that described hell .... and i have studied many
they will have had some after life experience and most of them do support each other and tick all the same boxes
occasionally some people have had a negative experience but these experiences do no coincide with each other so are not as valid as the positive experiences...
yes there seems to be a place we go to ... but not just for those who are religious or of any religious persuasion .. but all
the evidence from Children especially on the subject of NDEs is fascinating , given that they come from different walks of life and with different perceptions of an afterlife , yet each have similar experiences

That white light and all, that's just what happens when the brain is deprived of oxygen.

Strange things happen when the body shuts down, that's normal physiology -- would you honestly expect anything different? The brain retains memories of these previously unexperienced happenings and, being human, interprets them into something coherent. That's just what our brains do, weaving a mess of data into a coherent story.

Some take a positive slant, others negative, but everyone has heard about near death experiences, so that's the story that is chosen. Or applied to it later by other people.

That doesn't mean that it's accurate.

Some experience hell, according to Dr. Maurice Rawlings in his book "Beyond Death's Door". Dr. Maurice Rawlings is a cardiologist who studied this phenomenon, using the testimony of hundreds of patients who 'came back".

The experince of going to hell is reported as very rare, because no one is going to want to talk about it. The hell experience refutes the theory that the vision of heaven is just the result of dying brain cells.

Dr. Maurice Rawlings is no longer an atheist.

There are alot of people who came back to life from hell trying to change their lives around. But most tend to forget their purpose and lead the same lives they had before they went to hell.

You make a great point. Everyone says they went to heaven yet the bible says very few people will go to heaven. I have heard of one man that died and went to hell. He said he was standing on the shore of an ocean of blue churning fire. He was not a religious person and did not even know about the lake of fire mentioned in Revelations. There was alot of other people on the shore with him. He recognized some of them. They were people he had known in his life who had died. He said no one spoke but he somehow knew that everything evil was going to be thrown into this firey churning sea. He said Jesus was walking along the beach. As He walked by him, he called out to Jesus, "Jesus save me!" Jesus kept walking. Then suddenly Jesus turned around and looked at him. At that moment they revieved him and he returned to life. He became a Christian.

That's a good question. The Bible talks about a resurrection. People always say, he or she is in heaven. Jesus said he is the resurrection to life. John 11:25 The Bible talks about the resurrection.
Acts 24:15 talks about the resurrection of righteous and unrighteous.
