I love to cook and would like some opinions and new recipes! Please post some quick, easy, cheap, and maybe healthy recipes here!

Chocolate Bark (Sooooo easy & Delicious)

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
1 Row of Saltine crackers

Place crackers on cookie sheet (trying not to leave any spaces btw them)
Melt butter, then ad sugar and simmer until diluted

Pour hot liquid over crackers making sure to get it everywhere.

Place in oven 350 c until sugar gets golden brown 3-4 min appr.
remove and add chocolate chips on top and return to over until chocolate chips are shiny.

Spread chips with back of a spoon, lick the spoon :-) and put in freezer for 30-40 min. Break into pieces and enjoy!

Vegie Bites

2 (8 oz.) pkg. refrigerated crescent rolls
1 egg, beaten
2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 (1 oz.) env. Ranch style salad dressing mix
3/4 c. (3 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. finely chopped broccoli
1/2 c. finely chopped cauliflower
1/2 c. finely chopped mushrooms
1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
1/2 c. finely chopped tomato

Unroll crescent rolls and place in bottom of an ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan, pinching edges together to seal. Brush dough with beaten egg. Bake at 375 degrees for 11-13 minutes, and cool completely.
Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise and salad dressing mix; beat until well blended. Spread mixture over crust; sprinkle with cheese and vegetables. Chill 2 hours; cut into 1 x 1 1/4 inch bites. Yield 8 dozen.

This recipe can be changed to mexican vegie bites...use salsa, cheddar cheese, green onions, tomatoes, green peppers, olices etc...

or Italian...use spag. sauce, motzarella, olives, peppers, etc...

It's really fun to switch it up

Here is a recipe for Country Club Sandwiches
Serves 1, but can make more to suit the peoples needs

3 slices white bread toasted
1/2 oz Swiss Cheese(or whatever cheese)
Ham sliced thin 2 oz
Turkey breast thin sliced 2 oz
Lettuce Leaves 2-3
Mayonnaise AS NEEDED(Use Light to make it healthier)
Dijon Mustard AS NEEDED
Tomatoe Slices 2-3

Method:
Spread Maonnaise on 1 side of a slice of toast.Top with cheese then ham. Spread lightly with mustard. Spread Mayonnaise on one side of 2nd slice of toast.Place on top of ham.Cover Toast with Sliced Turkey, then tomatoes. Spread Mayonnaise on 3rd slice of toast. Place Condiment side down on top of tomatoes. Cut into quarters and serve

shrimp--tastes great and just cook in a pan with some onions, crushed garlic for like 10 min or until the turn orange

mini pizza rolls

Every party I have I serve "Savory Parmesan bites" it is ALWAYS a hit.
It includes crescent rolls, cream cheese, red bell peppers, parsley, and parmesian cheese.

mince (lamb/beaf/chicken)
flavors ( rosemary/ginger+garlic+bar-be-cue/soy)
salt
Pepper
bread crumbs/fresh bread/ plain flour
add all together Optional to add drained boiled veges but than add more crumbs to help binding
make balls
pat it on one side of ice cream sticks
cook on flat top/flame/oven/under the grill
enjoy the flexibility of the food

Cheese & crackers, meat rolls (ham, roast beef, turkey, etc.), pigs in a blanket, small triangular sandwiches of pb&j or other meats.

cant go wrong with a layered bean dip and chips

or a spinach and artichoke dip with french bread

or hummus with pita bread
