I went to a holiday party a week ago & introduced myself to the bartender... a little drunkenly I might add. I didn't make a fool of myself, but promised him I would have a drink with him when he got off work that night. Problem was, I needed a friend to drive me home so I missed the drink. I called the bartender later that evening & apologized but told him I would still like to hang out at some point & gave him my cell #. He even remembered my name & said he would call sometime later in the week... I ended up calling him at the bar later in the week (2 days ago) just to say hey. He said he had been really busy with work & wanted to know what I was up to on Sunday (tomorrow) & said he would call me this weekend to decide on time. He was very friendly, talked to me for about 5 minutes, called me hon etc etc... So now what?? If I don't hear from him, should I call to firm up plans? Or just show up at the bar tomorrow (because he told me he was working tomorrow) & say a friendly hello?

If you follow the advice that tells you to just show up at the bar, may I reccomend you wear a shirt that says "DESPARATE"...

Sit down.

Relax.

He will call you. And if he doesn't....

NEXT BARTENDER

You have given the guy every chance...if he doesn't call, don't contact him...he clearly isn't interested enough, if he was, he would call. I'm not saying he's right, many men are dumb and make mistakes, but, you really have given him every chance, and if he really likes you, the ball is truly in his court, if he doesn't serve it back, start a new game with someone else! Just cause he calls you hon, means nothing...lots of guys talk like that, there are lots of very smooth guys out there.

You are chasing and he may be running. He may be saying these things when YOU CALL just to be polite. He does't want to risk bad word of mouth to lose him bartending jobs. Let him do the rest of the calling. If he is REALLY interested he will call. If not, maybe he was too busy and maybe he is just not interested in that way.

I wouldnt call to firm up plans...you have already called him....Wait to see if he calls and if he doesn;t then just take it as a hint...I also wouldnt go to the bar...unless of course you had plans to go there anyway with friends or soemthing....Never chase a guy let the guy do the chasing....when you seem less interested they always seem more interested :)

He has your cell number, leave it to him to call.

He was being polite and by calling you "hon" it saved him from trying to remember your name.

By continually calling him you are showing how desperate you are and it is s real turn off
