ther's a place for everyone

It means that there is a place in heaven for everyone. These mansions are where the kingdom of Christ will live, after the rapture and everything is over. When Jesus tells his disciples that he's going to prepare a place for them, these mansions are what he's referring too.

But if the JW's take that biblical text literally, the one that says only 144,000 will make it to Heaven, then surely they have to take the WHOLE of that text absolutely literally, they can't pick and choose which bits of it to believe and which to disregard?

For instance, it goes on to say that the 144,000 will all be MEN and will all be JEWISH - this is every bit as clearly stated and impossible to wriggle around, so tought luck to a female and Gentile JW who might have nursed an ambition? Unless 144,000 men (as the Bible clearly states, 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel) renounced Judiasm and turned JW, it kind of kicks an enormous gaping hole in their theology...

The "many mansions" thing: doesn't that relate to Heaven being a bigger place than most religions can ever imagine?

Jesus when on Earth had hard words for what he called Pharisees: people who in today's slang would be Bible-bashers, ones who believe that our interpretation of the sacred text makes our form of Christianity purer in the eyes of God than yours and your faulty reading of the Book consigns you to Hell for all eternity.

If I read Jesus Christ correctly, he had no patience for that sort of thing and considered other things were a hundred times more important - ie entry to Heaven depended on other qualities than your ability to bash biblical text at each other.

Hence "many mansions" - more of you will arrive here than your Churches care to think - and the other enigmatic saying that priests and theologians ignore because, it doesn't fit with current orthodoxy in Christian teaching,

Yet this text is in the Bible: Jesus himself says

"Have I not said, ye are all Gods?"

If we are all Gods then we all have a place in Heaven.

therefore "many mansions" to dwell in.

The Founder said so, after all!

It means that Jesus is coming again (second coming of Christ), in which he has already prepared dwelling places or "houses" for his believers. Only the true believers in Christ will get these mansions. We can look forward to his second coming!

He means in literally, that if you get to heaven depending on your life acts that will be how good your mansion is. To gracie lee, there is not only going to be 144,000 people in heaven, Thats the number of Jews that stay on Earth for the tribulation and then are saved.

The heart has many rooms, each has a purpose.

You dont go to the bakers for a book and a pet shop for a car.

You have a room where your heart expresses relationships, friendship, a room for financial matters, a room for alcohol consumption etc etc.

You uproot from each room to conduct yourself within each room as it is intended and how you will be judged. People are often tempted to play the grim reaper whilst your in another room or even think saying 'gooder' words within your room will give them the right to take it away from you; these people will then seek to dictate who is allowed to enter and what rules they seek to apply (constantine/spiritual bondage).

This is why all will have to stand in their own contribution, Galaitons 6:7 they only promote their immaturity within it!!!.

This is how every room becomes cluttered by the devil, the test to become as evil or to rise above it??????????????????????

He said "In my Father’s house are many mansions". It refers to the many planes and levels within the kingdom of Heaven.

It's very easy to understand when you read it from a study edition of the Bible. Try this and see if it makes more sense to you: "In my Father's house there are many dwelling-places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
