Why do people have babies, they can't afford?

I've always wondered Y do people make (men) & women (have)...(the reason I noted genders cause both have a decision in it) A lot of the times men put it on the women (she tricked me/not so).
I understand u may have slipped 1 time, but 2, 3 & even 4. I've seen it, especially w/the young mothers. You have a hard enuff time financially taking care of 1. Y would U even have sex unprotected,knowing u may get pregant again.
Y torture your children by not having enough money for FOOD, SHELTER, CLOTHING, TRANSPORTATION, & necessties, even some of their wants (not necessary but to be riducle by ur peers-hurt; 2b different & not having/but thats not even the issue, just something to think about).
I lie to u not I've seen atleast 5 girls that hang out together have atleast 2-3 babies a piece & they have'nt reached the age of 18. I thk part of it they want their kids to grow up together & have each other backs (but thats just crazy!!). And, the real sad thing their kids may repeat the cycle...

Alot people say how do u know the sex is unprotected? very obivious u keep having babies (with an (s), if u can afford them-Great. but if ur so selfish & just want a large family regardless of your circumstances you're just hopeless; living check to check or let say maybe even handout to handout. For those on the same page as me; I hear u but for those who just want to be a burden to society u need help w/your rationalization.

U can have as many kids as u want I just say "IF YOU are financially able to supply their NEEDS; (and I really didn't even stress the wants). I'm talking necessties.

The problem is alot of people that's reading my questions; doesn't understand the difference in what a NEED is and What a Want is......

Maybe my question should've included "Do u know the difference of the two? and list a need is and a want.
'cause alot of people r surprising me w/their anomosity & anger; they r very defensive but if the shoe fit. WEAR IT!!!!

You're right that it's a frustrating cycle to see. But of all the many things that some of these women and men either can't do in life, or will never have the opportunity to do, getting pregnant is one life affirming thing they can do. It brings them meaning to their lives. That's not so hard to understand. I wish more young, unmarried parents would consider adoption, but then I understand how hard a choice that would be as well.

Who said that they are having unprotected sex each time? That is a huge generalization. Sometimes $hit just happens. It's what you do AFTERWARDS that really matters.

I am 25 with 4 kids. I was only 22 when my twins were born. (#3 and #4). Does that automatically mean I cannot provide for them efficiently? No. My children have everything they need to live a happy and healthy life. Lots of young mothers are able to provide the same for their children. BTW needs and wants are also two totally different things. Sometimes people seem to get those mixed up. My kids have way more then what I had my entire childhood growing up.

Also, what is wrong with wanting your children to be close in age? There is nothing wrong with wanting your children to grow up together and have a close relationship.

My husband is #4 out of 5 kids. It wasn't until he was an adult that him and his older siblings became close. They were much older then him when he was younger and therefore not interested in hanging out with their younger brother. They had no real connection. I personally did not want that for my children.

Maybe they also cant afford protection!! but honestly they know they can have a baby and get money for it because the state will help them take care of it. I see it alot where I live people that have Nothing with falling down houses and no car or anything will have like 10 kids. Just because they know the more kids they have the more support from the state they will receive!

Wow! I can't imagine having a birth club of girlfriends having so many babies before they're even 18!!! Sounds like some major government assistance there.
I agree, I can see one ooops, but after that, you'd think they'd have learned their lesson.
On the other side of the spectrum, I know of several couples that have good jobs, own a home, and still want to wait until they're finacially ready. Those types usually end up either not ever having any, or haveing problems conciveing, or end up being in their 40's before having their first.

From what you say, it seems quiet obvious that these young lives dont mean much, personal comforts and wealth matter more.
Sure we need to improve our morality so young people learn to control themselves.
Try telling the kids of these young girls that they were actuallly born by mistake and are not really welcomed on this earth.

That said, there is a certain religion that is very dominant in my neighborhood...heck, the whole county! Maybe even the whole state!...That does not believe in birth control. It is very common for the females of this religion to drop out of high school, get married, and start having babies at the age of 16, 17. I think its ridiculous. They say that God doesn't want them to use birth control, because that would be stopping His will. If he wants them to get pregnant, then they will, and that trying to stop that by using birth control is a sin. My response to that is that if He wants you to get pregnant, birth control is not going to stop it. Think of the Virgin Mary. And anyway, what if God wants you to have a baby, but you don't have sex? Isnt that a sin, too, by their thinking? I guess that's why they start so early. But anyway, back to my original point. They say that its totally fine for them to have 7+ children, while the mom stays home to take care of them, because "God will provide".

And clearly, by God, they mean THE GOVERNMENT.

I'm 21 and my husband and I have a 10 month old daughter. First of all, unless you are rich, no one can really "afford" to have a baby! Anyway, I agree it is not good for such young girls to have multiple children when they have not completed high school or have any kind of career. Sometimes teenagers are not very responsible. They need better guidance from family, friends, and teachers.

it happens more with younger ppl then the older ppl.... cause kids are young and just like having sex and dont think about it...
i was 17 when my son was born his mother had just turned 16...

yes VERY young... its now 10 yrs later im finaly able to go to college so i can have a better life...


i firmley suport the lisence act.. you need a lisence for everything else why not to have a kid.... you must be able to prove ya can support the baby b4 ya can have one... if not there are million ppl out there that can suport a family but are unable too....
