My 6 year old dog, has been vomiting up his food (and its a food he's been eating for over a year). He usually vomits it anywhere between 1 to 4 hours after eating, and it does not contain blood. The food is usually almost fully digested. He isn't acting sick, and this happens about 7/10 times after he eats so NOT every time. Anyone know what this could be?! (As a side note, he was kenneled 3-4 weeks ago for a couple days).

Unsure of the breed of your dog but 6 can be old for some breeds.
Take to vet
The possible causes are
Cough making him vomit ( kennel cough if been in kennels)
Food intolerance these can develop over years and something they use to be fine with now isn't
Decrease in stomach clearence and gut mobility (cancer, getting old)
Kidney failure, diabetes, other mechanical and physical reasons
Lots of different reasons

Try a different food. My 6 year old Chihuahua stopped vomitting after I changed her to senior dog food.(Purina Senior Dog Food).... apparently it's okay to start her at six on it- the vet said so.

he might have worms and is trying to get rid of it. Or he might have a stomach alcer. It really doesn't matter what I say tho, you should get your dog to the vet. Because that is way to much vomiting for your dog. Pretty soon he will rupture his stomach or some thing worse. So, please take it to the vet asap. Ok.
Good Luck!

Don't wait. Go to an emergency animal clinic as soon as possible. Any time a dog throws up repeatedly for a long period of time there is something seriously wrong.

Call your vet, he may have 24 hour emergency answering service.

If not, call the ASPCA or SPCA, they may have an animal hospital in your city.
