Respect. Respect is no longer a character trait that is wanted nor desired, apparently in this "what ever floats your boat" society that we have. Respect for older people, respect for parents, grandparents, even siblings. How about respect for ones own self. Our young ladies are working real hard to lose their self respect to keep up Paris Hilton. What a shame. Respect for oneself and others takes a person further in this life than those who do not possess it.

I have a 4 year old, I try to teach him good values now at a young age and know that there are going to be people all through life who dont treat other people with respect and thats okay, for them. It will get them no where in life. Always be polite and help people out when they need it, it will come back on you!!! Education is everything to young kids and to teach them things that really matter when they are young they are LESS likely to grow up being "drop outs" and doing drugs...etc. I want the best for my son so i want to let him know now that he has to try his very best and if he doesnt succeed at something, thats okay... dust your self off and get up and try again!!! It will come!

I feel that everything you teach your children are important but above all things? To love, respect, other people and their belongings, and to always use your manners! And to know that the wrld is not perfect and there are a lot of horrible people out there and to watch out for yourself and stay strong! Keep your head high!

To be polite, kind to others and respectful. Education is very, very important, but you can be the smartest person in the world and if no one can stand to be around you the brains are not going to do you any good.

Everything.
there is not one that is not important. Thats like saying, what is the one most important thing to learn about in school. Learning is one of those things that has no boundaries.

To always be true to yourself, to remember you are beautiful. Respect others if you want to be respected, tell the truth at all times, and to never lie as a lie can ruin you in the long run.
To be happy and to live life to the fullest.

I was told once the best thing a parent can do for a child is to make sure they raise a child that is likable. People will work with likeable kids, and help them grow into adulthood.

To love others, to see clearly through the eyes of the heart and to leave hate behind. I only hope she learns those well.

That she should go out and encourage others everyday.
That she is responsible for her actions.
That no matter what happens in life, her family has her back.

Manners. I abhor rudeness in children. The little things like please, thank you, excuse me, etc. tell a lot about you as a parent.
