Okay, Im 21 and I have been on several dates with this guy Blake. He has been really respectful...we only kissed after we had been on 3-4 dates. He hasnt tried to make any moves. He has a really great sense of humor, we have a lot in common but one of my friends is telling me that hes not my type cuz he goes to strip clubs and has some porn star as one of his top friends on myspace and refers to himself as a "scumbag" I hate strip clubs, porn and disagree with the whole nasty thing. But he has treated with respect but I dont want to be with another guy who pretends to be something he is not. How can I find out what this guy is all about?

This may sound harsh babe but what is your problem? It sounds to me that you already know what he is all about but you just don't care. If you did then you wouldn't have asked this question. There is a guy out there right now who has all the qualities you need and want in a man, don't clog up everyone else for one filthy rag. Let him go, stop seeing him. He is not the one for you. He's only treating you with respect because are just dating, only time will tell who someone really is. He's a pervert. And he does not deserve you. Good luck babe!

I think you should take time to discuss what you both want in a relationship. Bring this issues out (as well as other no-nos) and let him tell you what he expects also. Have a nice calm respectful conversation and just lay some ground rules. Then invest your heart into him slowly so that if you detect that he is playing with ya, you can leave him while you are ahead -- without too much pain. I learnt the hard way not to give my heart to anyone too quickly. I got screwed by some *****.

Well, you saw what he was about on Myspace. I really do think you can find out a lot about people in what they put out in writing, especially for the rest of the world to see.

people are complex not simple. people have diffrent relationships or friends that satify diffrent needs. He likes you and you satisfy he need for a conservative relationship. He has other guy friends that he hangs out with that satisfy his wilder side, like going to strip clubs. He is not pretending to be something he is not when he is with you, he is being himself with you, just not the self that his friends see, just as his friends don't see the self in him he shows you.

damn that is a hard. Really u can never "know" a guy until specific situations or circumtances arises, if u know what mean. But just keep going on with him and give him a try, or u can just ask him about the stuff he likes.
