Are you talking about different ways to COOK food? I don't know much about cooking or cooking methods, but I know how these words can be used to heat things...

Conductive heating is by contact-- like when you use the George Forman Grill... put food on hot surface and it heats the food.

Radiative heating is by radiative energy... Things like putting your food under a heat lamp, and microwave cooking, are some that I can think of.

Convective heating is when heated air or fluid is moved over the object to heat it... Convection oven is an example (moves hot air around).

Does this help at all?
