I'm 27 my boyfriend 28. Together 2 years. Lived together 1 year. I moved to his town and we got an apartment. Things were fine. Slowly our physical relationship has ended. Not just the sexual part but the affection as well. I don't like where we live b/c it's very rural, I like the suburbs. He loves it here. I have tried for a year. I told him it would be better here if we had a healthy physical relationship, if I felt he cared more, and if we did things together. When I bring up the future he refuses to discuss anything. He always has a reason for not being physical. I have absolutley no reason to think he is cheating. He says he doesn't know what has happened but that he loves me. A few times I have tried to leave he says things will change. He tries for a while & nothing changes. How can he say he loves me and not be affectionate or not want to do anything w/me. has his own hobbies & pay attention to thm. He says he wants it to work and I believe him but it isn't. What to do?

Pick up your things and head back to town, its not going to work.Its obvious the guy does not want a serious relationship. Time is to precious to loose.

Ok, dump him. I can tell you right now that he's cheating. There is no excuse in hell as to why he cannot spend anytime with you. Trust me honey, I know. My baby daddy and I went through the same damn thang. When we started dating, we used to **** like rabbits, then after I had the baby, he started making excuses for the fact that he didn't want to have sex with me anymore. I cried and cried. Then he slowly stopped kissing me, and holding me....and then, a month ago he left me for someone else. If I were you I wouldn't stick around and wait for anything to come out of this. Girl, dump HIM! you don't want to end up the dumpee, because that'll just boost his ego. Good Luck

i think maybe the both are u are bored. maybe try going out on a date-something the both of u loved to do with each other when u were first dating. maybe ur acting different towards him to cause maybe ur holding some hostility towards him with out even realizing it about making the move. i would sit down and talk about it and if he doesnt make an effort then u have ur answer. cause if he cant make the effort to talk to u then hes not going to make the effort to stay with u much longer.

Sometimes leaving is the only way to reestablish relationship negotiations...clearly you are not happy and clearly your partner has tried to change but has not been able to maintain them...so drastic measures need to be taken....worst that can happen is that you will learn that you have to move on...

you both need more communication. talk.
ask him exactly what he wants from you and what he wants to do about making the relationship work.
tell him how you feel and what you want to do.
tell him you want to do things with him . you want It to an equal
relationship.
