experian seems to always be the lowest YET its the main one everyone looks at, whats the point of having a high score with one of the others then if its not even looked at? why is one more credible than the others?

Actually, for me and many others, Equifax is the lowest. Equifax is the only one who doesn't do a lot of the online disputes/reporting stuff so they never have anything right for me-- they ahve al my accoutns and none of my ontime payments!

Transunion is definitely used the least--- not sure why. You can look at www.whogavemecredit.com if you are trying to get a credit card and see who used what bureau, if the person knows, they say so.

They are just the three major reporting agency's, none more credible then the other. Normally the middle score is looked at. I review credit reports all day every day at work. There isn't one that is lower or higher then the others, it just all depends on if each bureau is receiving the same information as the other. For example, you may have car payment and the bank only reports to one of the bureaus. All creditors don't report to all three bureaus.

They are 3 separate company's so if someone reports something to Equifax, it doesn't automatically get reported to Transunion and Experian. It is up to the creditors to report to all three bureaus if they want to.

If no one ever looked at equifax and transunion scores, they would go bankrupt for lack of income. If YOUR experian score is lower that YOUR score at the other bureaus, they may be reporting different information than the others. Have you actually compared your 3 reports?
