What will happen if you decide to cook with the meat(beef/pork) anyway? And how do you know if it has gone bad?

I am just speaking from my own experience but I have kept unopened thawed ground beef in the fridge for 5 days. Then cooked it with out any problems. As for pork, the only kind I eat is sausage, bacon & ham~and I have kept them for about the same length of time~before cooking. But I always smell of the meat & feel of it, if it smells bad or feels sticky or slimy~trash it!!
I have been cooking for around 35 years and haven't been sick from it. But like I said above this is from my own experience so don't count it as gospel!!

24 hours longest you keep the fridge at 40 or below and if you keep it in there longest ones you start cooking it if it has a bad smell to it throw it away you can get pretty sick of spoiled meats especially pork

that depends on the meat. chicken you can only have it in the frig after thaw is i believe three days. beef i think is 5-7 days.

I wouldn't go past 3, and I maybe wrong on that, but I'm still alive to talk about it. usually the smell and/or appearnace can tip you off.
