Yes. It is illegal. There is a law called Statutory Rape. That is when an adult, or someone 18 or older, has relations with a minor, someone under the age of 18. The best way to find proof is to look up your local Statutory Rape laws in either your local laws or by state law. This is something that is across the states, not just some and not other states. It is to protect minors from being harmed. Even if you are dating the person and you love the person, the legal system does not care. They look at the legality of it and since one person is of age and is considered an adult and the other person is considered a minor, it is illegal. I hope this helps. I would give you a link to a statute to review the law, but since I don't know the state you live in, I can't. That is why I would suggest you search for the Statutory Rape law in your community or State.

in florida, parents can prosecute for statutory rape until your 18, but what funny is , if a 16 year old girl is pregnant by an 18 year old( maybe older , i dont know) they can get married if she proves it. But its still illegal to have sex with a child under 18. if the person was say, 30, they would charge him with sexual assault. laws are screwy. it doesnt make sense. the laws in your state should be checked out. call the county court house.

In most states, it is, but if you can show an ongoing relationship before that, then its kind of let go... also you need to have someone that will press the charges against him- so if you are ok with it and your parents are too (usually the ones that push charges) then there should not be a problem...

No, it wouldn't be illegle, it would be illegal...a non-minor having sex with a minor is illegal in may areas of the U.S. (for good reason)

Look up the laws in your state/county if you want to know for sure. He'd be a fool to do it...if your parents found out and pressed charges, he'd be in trouble.

It is true that America is the land of the free and the home of the brave, but it also upholds the rule of law. Illegals are called illegals because they entered the US in violation of the immigration law. Therefore, they have no right to be here. If a person has no right to be in this country, that person is called illegal and should be deported. As simple as that.

depends on the laws, I know each state has different ones, In New York i beleive its 17 if someone 17 or older has sex, even consentually with some one 16 or under, the elder person can get in big trouble.. Even if you consent, your parents can press charges and send him to jail....so you just need to find out the age of consent in your area

Yes its true. Its called statutory rape. And once he's over 18 or there is 2 yrs age differance between the two of you it can be inforced but ONLY if your parents press the charges against him.

It is illegal, at least in most parts of the US. The only proof I can think of would be for you to be caught in the act, or for you to get pregnant. If you turn up pregnant, your parents might have him brought up on charges (although that would be stupid, because he needs to finish all of his education to support a child). Off-topic: you should save your sexuality for a more serious relationship of at least two years, preferably marriage. Good night!

He's right. It's called statutory rape, but, the legal age of consent varies from state to state. You'd have to find out what the laws are in your particular state.

in most states it would be statutory rape-look it up on your states web site. you are a minor and he is an adult. if you robbed a bank together you would probably be considered an adult but sexual crimes are still biased in favor of the woman becuase of the norms of society.

check the district attorneys website for your county or parrish too-it might be there too

Your parents could even have him charged with statutory rape against your will and he could go to jail

I know this is not what you wanted to hear but i hope it helps
