Dachunds do have a stubburn streak, and can be difficult to house train. If he has been peeing in your house, make sure you clean it thoroughly with an enzyme cleaner. I recommend Nature's Miracle. It works real well. The enzymes destroy the urine, and the scent. That most likely is why he continually goes in the house. It doesn't work overnight and needs time to destroy the urine. That said, you can use wee-wee pads for him to use. Personally, I take my small dogs out often. Go outside with your dog to make sure he pees..then praise him, give him a treat, make a big fuss about the fact he went outside. If/when he goes in the house..be angry at the mess, NOT the dog. Sounds crazy, but it works. He knows what he did, he needs to know and learn you don't like that behavior. He needs to know you are the boss. You can also purchase a belly band to help save your floors and/or rugs. It is like a cummerbund and wraps around his tummy and over his little "winkie", you put a disposable pad inside to absorb the urine. Dogs usually don't like them, and start to get the hint not to go in the house. You can also crate train him. The crate needs to be big enough for him to lie down/stand up comfortably, but not too big that he can pee at one end, and sleep at the other end. There are different methods of training your dog. It is your choice. When/if you take your dog outside, you also need to distinguish whether it is a potty walk or play time. I used a different door to take my dogs out for play or potty. You can also use a different leash. One is for "business/training purposes" a different type for play time. Lots of options and it is your decission.
Good luck

How old is he? We were told that dachunds do not have very good control over their bladders until they are over 6 months old. If he is less than this just be patient and try to get him to go to puppy pads in the house. If he is older maybe he just needs some extra training, still reccomend puppy pads.
