carbemazepine is an anticonvulsant and mood stabilizing drug, used primarily in the treatment of epilepsy and bipolar disorder. It is also used to treat schizophrenia and trigeminal neuralgia.

Lithium carbonate (Camcolit or Priadel), carbemazepine (Tegretol), valproic acid (Depakote)
NB - carbemazepine and valproic acid are primarily anti-epileptic drugs, which are found helpful as mood stabalisers and so are used to treat manic depression, especially for people who cannot tolerate lithium.

i think carbemazepine is a mood swing stabiliser for people who are depressed

ususally it is used for people who get mood swings as well as seroxat/peroxetine to calm the nerves

The genaric name for Tegretol. Normally used for seisure control but used often for mood disorders like bipolar.
