I'm not religous so I could be wrong
..... but.....
I think the general idea is that it's not God that makes you disbelieve. He made people and then people make their own decisions in life and have to live with the consequences of those decisions. If you are seriously worried about going to hell then you must have some sort of belief otherwise you wouldnt be worried. I hope this makes sense :)

You assert that religious people don't believe any of it. You need to be specific and give examples.
Just because I choose to be in a relationship with God (on His terms, not mine) ,does not mean that I am substituting any man's religion for my belief in the veracity of the Bible!
As to whether you will be "sent" to hell, the Bible teaches that you get what you choose, and that you are to examine the Scriptures and the evidence for the truth. Then you decide whether to accept or reject God's revealed Word. The Christian Research Institute is on line to help you with this.
Decision is based on free will and where you place your faith. It takes faith to believe God, it takes faith to believe Darwin.
Once your number is up and you are standing before God, the truth is inescapable, faith is no longer neccesary, and you got that choice prior to that moment .
The time for choosing is NOW.
God does not make everyone believe because he did not want a planet full of robots. He wanted a beautiful creature that is made in His own image-just the way parents want kids of their own. & not robots. He includes a free will to choose, hands you the truth preserved and documented (archeologically & otherwise), in the form of His Word (Bible) - and then it's up to you.
He tells you what is right for you, motivated by His love, and the consequences of your actions either way. It's all layed out in the Bible clearly for all to see.He knows the choice is for you to make, the consequences for you to experience.
He does so with the utmost love and respect for the heart and mind He gave you.
As a teacher, I did this for even my pre-schoolers.
Why would God be any less loving and caring for our ultimate well being than a human teacher would?
Study the old Testament, the way God acts and interacts with people, and it reveals His nature and attitudes toward man. Study the New Testament (covenant) to find the new covenant He offers us in relating to Him, walking with him, and experiencing life to the fullest.
It reveals that in place of the eternal consequences of our choices against Him,Jesus, the sinlesss Son, took the punishment and made a way for us to find forgiveness and fellowship with God.Part of this is becoming more like Him in character and attributes as you apply yourself seriously to study and growth from His Word.
The choice is yours my friend, read and say a prayer first that if God is real, He will lead you and give you insight into the Bible. He loves you enough to ensure this 2000 year old Word is still clearly accesible, He surely has blessings in mind for you if you are willing to seek Him first, and and find out what He's all about.
It's all there in the Owner's manual.
Holding you up to Him in prayer today:)
EDIT: The Book of John is a great place to start, and the Proverbs are loaded with wise and often humerous insights, and the Book of Psalms is such an accurate reflection of the human condition and the cry of the heart toward God. Check for yourself !

He does not make anyone believe its your choice. Maybe you have been fed lies through out your life. Many don't want to believe as living according to Gods word interferes with the way they want to live their lives

We are all on a journey through life...should we be in a rush to complete that journey?...
Try this...if you could not doubt...how then could you believe?
You have all the time you are given to decide your questions!...Rush to answer and you waste the time to not know...and this is the most valuable time you will ever have.
No...you will not be sent to hell....in fact...I don't think you will even be sent to Philadelphia!!!!

Freewill and I would say that hell, hopefully is pretty empty. They say that faith is a gift from God in the sense that when you believe and understand, he will help if you ask, then it is like receiving a lovely gift.

A good God gave us free will. He did not make us a bunch of puppets who 'must ' believe in him. He puts the evidence in front of us & we get to make up our minds.
Are you going to hell? I don't know? I do know that God is not intimidated by our questions & our questions don't send us to hell. Questions are how we learn.
I am religious because I asked God to let me see Him & He did.

God doesn't make anyone believe, its a choice , and He does not send anyone to hell. people make that choice on their own, if you do not believe in Jesus and accept Him into your heart as your personal Savior than thats your choice but the Bible states then you are destined for eternity in hell, its your choice ! And its not about religion , but its about a relationship with Christ.

No you wont go to hell .but some people are weak minded and need some sort of support because they are unable to cope with life and feel the need to have some sort of god to look after them.
Also a lot of old folk go to church when they know there days are numbered to try to get into heaven.

i think you're probably going to offend many people with that question. you just have to let everyone believe what they want to believe. you don't have to like it, but you do need to accept it. I believe religion is good for people because if they didn't have a reason to be good like going to heaven, they probably wouldn't be. who knows, maybe there is a God. if there is it might not be a bad idea to be ready for him.
