I saw the Dalai Lama giving a speech here in town, I thought he was a cute old happy loving man - so being human, I think he gets jet lag too!

I was on a plane next to the Dalai Lama. He ordered the chicken meal. I said, as politely as I could, that I thought Buddhists were vegetarians. He smiled and said "that's just strict Buddhists." I've thought even more highly of him since then.

Yes, he does the sweet guy... BUT he tolerates it with his usual wisdom of the view on the reality of things... patience, etc.
