Well my puppy is atleast 6 weeks old. She doesnt have any teeth yet really and she likes to chew on my thumb or a little rawhide that i cut in a small peice since shes a very small chihuahua. its almost like she is scratching her gums with the rawhide. does this mean her teeth is starting to come out ?

okay when she does get her teeth remember one thing that she will be trying to chew everything under the sun. get a bone that is called a nylabone with nibs so that the bone will massage her gums too. I hope this helped . I know cause I have a 3 lb chi and he is 12 wks old today . good luck.

Yes, she's teething. Don't let her chew on your finger, it's a bad habit a pain to break when she's older.

Soak and wring out a washcloth and put it in the freezer. She'll love the scratchy surface and coolness on her gums. She might also like ice cubes straight up.

When her teeth come through she'll want to chew on anything and everything so put something like Bitter Apple on things you don't want her to chew (it's a liquid that smells bad, tastes worse, and won't hurt her).

she shouldn't even be wiened from her mom yet and she's to young to even have a bone and rawhides aren't good for dogs at all don't start giving her bones until she at least is eating solid puppy chow and yes she's teething so give her a SOFT toy to chew/suck on
