i have ginger hair n really fancy a change.i used to love my hair but now it just does nothing for me.i really want it a chocolate brown colour,maybe even black!but im scared to dye it incase it looks wrong.im looking at going semi permanent,if it'll work!thanks for the help!

Redken. You can buy it at a beauty supply that is open to the public. I recently dyed mine #2N Which is one up from black but appears black. The N stands for neutral. Get 2R if you desire more of a reddish tone. If you're going the DIY route, cover everything in your bathroom, as it will get messy. Good Luck =o)

Personally I should get some professional advice and go to a hairdresser. However, if you must do it yourself then I would recommend a strand test first. It'll cost you double because you will then have to buy another box of dye but it will be worth it rather than ruining your hair. all the best of luck. (although I think ginger hair is gorgeous and I'm really envious)

as a general rule go by your eyebrows if they are dark then u can carry off a darker colour ...

a semi wont work. try nice n'easy medium or dark brown. dont use black as if you dont like it it will have to be bleached to lift it.

lorel high light kits r great. u get ur base dye and then ur high lights . good value to.

once you go black you can,t go back so for your sake try chocolate brown first
