I am re-arranging my bedroom. I want the bed to face east.?

Question

So, how is the headrest placed?
Do I place the bed so that when I stand at the foot of the bed, looking at the headrest I am facing east?
Or place the bed so that if I am lying in bed an look at my feet, I am looking east?

When you lay down your head should be facing east. So your headrest should be placed the same way.

Generally "facing east" would be interperetted as from head of the bed to the foot of the bed, because that's what way the bed is facing... But why do you want your bed facing east exactly? Do you want to be facing east while on your bed? In which case I suppose it depends on how you sleep....

I like my bed in the West, because I consider that the realm of dreams. In this case, I have my bed on the West wall of my room...I am happy with that for now; though I would like to have my bed length-wise against my wall, I am happy with having my headrest there.

One question...why is this in the religion section?

I really don't know the true answer to this, but I've always heard this way.Let the sun rise up over your head(behind the head board of the bed) to ward off headaches and to have a good nights rest.

The obvious answer is that you should sleep standing up facing forward facing east. Rest easy now.
