I think that religions are more of influences. Since A girl is born with catholic parents for example, she will become catholic as well. People defend what they believe in most. But what will hapen if you had a different fate? Like if she would be born into a hindu person, she might worship a different god. what would you do? Like just live on and worship their parent's belief? Just curious thx

Well the religions that are you following, did you decided by yourself, or did your parents influenced you? Because for christians or catholic people have to do something inchurch in order to get married later on...soo how can they choose what religions fit them or not at a very early age? Between, I am Bouddhist but I am open minded. thx for the comments

I grew up with a faith different from my parents. They started to practice Christianity when I was around 11 years old, but by then I had already formed my own neo-pagan beliefs and practices. Since they felt that they were commanded to convert me, we had many issues. But once I left home, they felt that their job of raising me was finished and they respected my beliefs. I am now in my forties and am still neo-pagan and my parents are still Christian. We respect each others beliefs and even encourage each other to follow the path that is right for us.
Generally (especially in countries without exposure to various religions) a person will follow the religion that they were raised in (if any). For example, the concepts of Catholicism would be very foreign ideas to a Hindu that was raised in rural India---in the same way that Hindu beliefs would be quite odd to someone who has only been exposed to Christianity. Our religions are entertwined with our cultures and the history of our individual cultures. That Hindu would have a different outlook towards life and their role in it, and they would believe just as strongly in their beliefs as anyone else.
World religion is a very interesting subject and if you have the chance to take a course in it--or even pick up a dictionary of world religions at the library--you may find it fascinating. It helps to understand people from their point of view rather than from our own. In the meantime, these are some interesting, unbiased sites describing various world religions:

'Worshipping other gods' is a metaphor for placing too much importance on the physical world, such as sex, money, physical possessions, etc. All of these things are "idols" which keep us clinging to the world, but they can only provide us with temporary pleasure / benefit. Reality is God and His creation (i.e. all living things), everything else being an illusion. Worshipping idols is not a sin, only a delay in reaching full happiness. Teach only peace and love; set aside all thoughts of attack, and (even if you do not believe in God) ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to the truth: He will do this gently and lovingly.

There is only one Entity. Different religions have different names and portrayals of this Entity. These names and potrayals only help in visualizing the higher power. See, "God" is something bigger than any person, any living thing, that it's really impossible to comprehend. That's why these panteons were created.
So, to answer your question, I wouldn't care how they worship, just as long as they had something to believe in.

In my family, my mother supports me in whatever faith I choose (or don't choose). When I wanted to go to church for a time, she allowed that, but didn't want to go with me...so she didn't.
However, we are both happy with Paganism, so there isn't even the slightest chance of a schism.

IF you are a christian, according to the bible, you put them to death even if it's your own child. If you are a muslim, according to the Quran, you leave them alone and say to them "To you be your way and to me be mine". Even when it's your parents, you are to respect them no matter what. That doens't mean obey them when it comes to religion, but rather show them kindness because they showed it to you when you were helpless.

everyone has their own beliefs and should follow their own lives,... no one is bound to follow anyone else... we should be able to chose our own lives and make our own decisions.
I chose my own beliefs.
