Could you try rephrasing that?

Try:

Who here enjoys learning about religions that are different from their own?

Oh, and use the spell checker. Makes you look more like you know what you are talking about. Really, not an insult, just a comment... rather, constructive criticism.

Good question, poorly phrased.

Oh, I've enjoyed comparative religions all my life. Gives much insight into where we are today. Those who do not know history are doomed to relive it.

I find the subject fascinating but like Jasmin2236, I set priorities. To learn and study my own religion comes first, then I learn about others. For example, it would be backwards for me to spend an hour a day learning about Taoism and only one hour a week on my own religion. But I find them all interesting and like to learn new POV's. That's what I was hoping to find in R&S.

I love learning about different religions. A lot of them came from the same base religion. I think that understanding what other people believe make it easier for you to understand other people as a whole.

I think most people have a general curiosity. I certainly do, though I believe in none of it. Strange religions like the Cargo Cults are particularly intersting.

I have my beliefs and convictions, but like learning more about other belief systems (religions), as I think it makes me better able to understand people that are "different" from me.

It also helps me understand them, and anticipate how they might react to certain situations and statements.

The world would be a better place if we all tried to understand each other more!

I do, you don't have to believe in something to be interested in it. It's useful to see how other people look at life.

And especially nowadays with religious strife increasing throughout the world, a bit more understanding would go a long way.

I find them fascinating as well. May I recommend Zaehner's "Encyclopedia of the World's Religions" as a brief sort of "survey course?"
