It is used to being outdoors, that is going to be hard to undo...I have had many cats throughout my life. If you want a cat that is a "pet", indoors, then you should get one and keep it in the house, litter box train it, and then, when it wants to go outside, it will, but will want to be in the house with you.....It is a very wonderful thing to have an indoor cat, they are affectionate, and as kittens quite funny...I am afraid what kind of pet you are wanting, is too late to have with the one you have...It's instincts is to hunt, since it is a mostly outdoors cat. All you have to do is pick up your local paper, there are always people giving away kittens. When you bring it home and keep it in the house, it depends on you. You become its family. It is a totally different animal when it starts out that way, not to bum you out or anything, I have had a lot of them, and lost a lot of them, so I am just speaking from experience.
