I am with you. The belief in a multitude of gods is as old as civilization its self. There was a first cause that has always been here. Then in Colossians 1:14 it tells he created a first created son.14 by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist, 18 and he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things; 19 because [God] saw good for all fullness to dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile again to himself all [other] things by making peace through the blood [he shed] on the torture stake, no matter whether they are the things upon the earth or the things in the heavens.
Then he told me well that was only on the earth, but here it is in heaven where Stephen saw Jesus at the right hand of God.
Acts 7:55 also in Rev. 1 it says the revelation god gave to Jesus to tell everyone what is to take place. That trinity is a false teaching.

I think the biggest argument when I was a Christian was John 1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, He was with God in the beginning. All things came to be through im, and without him nothing made had being. In him was life, and the light of mankind... etc" in 1:14 it says "The Word became a human being and lived with us." and later after Jesus' death in 15:26 it says "But I will send you the Counselor-the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will tell you all about me." So apparently the belief goes that Jesus, the Spirit, and God are seperate entities, but were also together, creating a trinity. While this used to be very convincing to me, I can't reconcile the fact that Jesus never spoke as though he was God and so I came to the conclusion that while Jesus was alive, he was not God.

Oh yes there is also John 14:11 "Trust me, that I am united with the Father, and the Father united with me." However, I don't see that is Jesus saying he IS God.

you cannot just pick out one verse and say the bible cleary says so and so and that it proves your point because everyone can do that and hence all the different sects within christianity. you are ignoring the multitude of scripture that pertains to the trinity. you are also ignoring the fact that the trinity was held to be truth by the very first christians, this can be proved with a good research of history, and yes i know it wasn't defined until the ecumenical councils, but nothing was defined until the ecumenical councils, these councils simply reaffirmed and made universal the teachings of christ as understood by the first christians. the trinity can be seen in the writings of the church fathers and for indepth look at the trinity a cathecism will help you out. for now look at this website, http://www.infpage.com/concordance/ click on the section pertaining to the trinity, there is a comprehensive list of the different natures of the trinity and shows the scripture sections you can find them. you will also find some usefull information at fisheaters.com, you don't have to agree with what i say or the site says but hey the information is there, hope this helps and god bless.

There is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. 3 in 1. Like an egg. There is a shell, a white and the yolk.
It is like a person also. We have many hats we wear to function that way. I am one person, but I am also a mother, a wife and a real estate consultant. Each hat I wear give me a different fuction, but I am still the same person.
. Jesus was God in the flesh. The Holy Spirit is our comforter. They have different function but they are all God.
Notice the capital W in the verse
Joh 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.

That is the only way I can explain it to you.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Christ has always been the Son of God, from the very time he was created. He is called the only-begotten son as Jehovah alone created him. Afterwards, Jesus helped creating the other angels, creation, and man.

Genesis 1: 26 says "And God went on to say: “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness..." God was talking to another person, who was he?

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and upon the earth.” (Colossians 1:15, 16)

Yes, it seems logical that at Genesis 1:26, Jehovah was speaking to his only-begotten Son, the “master worker,” who was at his side during the creation of the heavens and the earth. (Proverbs 8:22-31)

The holy spirit is God's force which he used in creation and in transferring the spirit life of Jesus to Mary's womb.

As the answerer above said, trinity is a teaching borrowed from pagan origin (triune god depicted by a face of three persons).

Look up Psalm 45, and Psalm 110. Both indicate THE GOD speaking to
"HIS OTHER".....also......The Trinity is indicated in 1 John 5:7 if you are using
a King James Bible (others have removed or altered same).

In the Old Testament see Isaiah 44:6 --- and His redeemer I am ---.
and Isaiah 45:11 --- And His maker --.

My favourite indicator is 1 Corinthians 15:28 ! At some point The Trinity will once
again unite because THEN there will be no need for The Trinity !

Water appears as a liquid, steam, and ice. All three are one.
A Clover leaf has three segments, it is but ONE clover.

In both situations above, three are one. Why can't THE GOD do the same?

You wouldnt find a scripture where the trinity is taught, but many will twist bible verses to show you. If you read the Athanasian creed in the catholic encyclopedia, it says there that God the Father, the Son, and the holy spirit were not created and that they are all 'almighty' (but not three almighties just one).

Colossians 1:15 says Jesus is the firstborn of all creation meaning he was created...there is no mention of the holy spirit being created because it is not a person....

As to Jesus, Isaiah said: in chapter 9 verse 6 "For there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the princely rule will come to be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, MIGHTY God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace"

The title Almighty is only given to God, the Father. Exodus 6:3 And I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty, but as respects my name Jehovah I did not make myself known to them.

Please note also Philippians 2:5 onwards...it says that Jesus never claim equality with God.

Jesus is God in the flesh and spirit, the Holy Spirit is the third part of the triune God. God is the diety of all three components to the trinity.

Hebews chapter 1 verse 8

But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

God even said Jesus was God.
--------------------------

Genesis 1 verse 26

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

God used the plural, not 'let me make man in my image', but in OUR image. And since only God can create life, that proves God is a plurality.

There is no "Trinity". That is a pagan concept that much of "churchianity" has accepted. There is a Heavenly Father and there is a Savior. (His name is Yahashua) There was no "J" until 1400 A.D. so that letter can be in neither name. YHVH is really a "family" name, and refers to both the Almighty Heavenly Father and also to the Savior. (I know it is a bit tricky, and contrary to almost all organized "religion", but it IS Scripture, and that is our guide, and will be our judge.
