etiquettehell.com is useful, and there is a message board.
Most wedding planning websites-- frankly, I would take their advice with a HUGE grain of salt because at the theknot.com and many others, the articles contain a TON of errors (they don't care if you make a fool of yourself-- they just want to make a buck and are slaves to their advertisers). There's really no substitute for having on hand a long-established etiquette and wedding planning BOOK, like Miss Manners on Weddings (the best).

I agree with etiquette gal. Peggy Post just came out with a new book called simply Etiquette. It's a great book, not only for wedding planning, but for life. Get a copy.

First, %. your date or a minimum of a time of year. Then, look interior the yellow pages below "wedding ceremony." lots of reception sites, caterers, bakers, florists would be indexed there. otherwise, seek for the guy entries of "banquets", "caterers", "florists", etc. Then, call the places and e book appointments. initiate with the ceremony area and reception internet site, consistent with which one is greater significant to you (if, to illustrate, you already be responsive to the place you prefer the ceremony to be, initiate there so which you will verify your date). learn the centers of each, retaining in strategies that not each thing is equivalent. area, visual attraction, programs, etc. will all selection, and you will would desire to come to a decision what's maximum mandatory for you. Then manage nutrition, photographs/videography, dj, transportation, florists, and cake in that order. Florists and bakers can do better than one wedding ceremony an afternoon, yet photographers won't be able to so as that they'd desire to be booked first. as quickly as you have the distributors, then concentration on the main significant factors like courses, favors, centerpieces, etc. the seller seek would properly be a sprint overwhelming in the commencing up simply by fact that's lots of telephone and leg paintings, yet as quickly as you get the cling of it you could overlap making plans the main significant factors with making plans the great stuff. The Knot has lots of wedding ceremony making plans innovations. they actual have a reachable checklist which you will customize to function the failings you prefer to incorporate on your wedding ceremony. there is no reason you prefer a marriage planner, and that they regularly get you to spend better than you otherwise could prefer to. in case you prefer any further component, touch me straight away. I enjoyed making plans my wedding ceremony!

I like www.theknot.com, but the website seems to be getting slower and slower. www.WedAlert.com is great, fast, split up by county and helpful articles, and worksheets. Good Luck!
