It depends on your relationship - how strong it is, how much future you see in it, how much you'll work at it. I know people who've lived far apart and have split up, others who did it and stayed together. One couple even broke up because they thought the distance would be too hard, but got back together and are living together 4 years later.

Some people can manage it, others can't. I don't think 75 minutes is that bad at all, it's definitely workable if you want it to be. My boyfriend lives nearly 3 and a half hours away (we lived together at uni, I had to move home for work when I finished - he's still studying). It's not easy, and I do miss him, but touch wood things are going ok. Sometimes I don't feel like driving for that long after a week at work, but you have to make the effort.

Of course it's all very personal, depending on how you feel about him, how long you've been together, how committed you are to each other, etc. I'd definitely say don't break up with the sole reason being the distance - try it out first, you don't know how you'll feel til you've given it a go for a while. Good luck.

It is never too long a distance if you really like the person. I would not do it for the sake of it. You really have to like the person to either travel with him or go to see him otherwise it would be a waste of time. A little ditty for you.....

I do believe the lord above
Created you for me to love
He picked you out from all the rest
'Cause he knew I loved you best

He gave me a heart that was true
And now its gone from me to you
So care for it like I have done
for you have two and I have none

If I go to heaven and your not there
I will wait for you by the golden stair
And if your not there by judgement day
I'll certainly know that you went the other way -

So I will give up my golden Harp, my golden Halo
That was true
And go to Hell to be with you!!

Hi, I lived 2hrs and 30mins away from my boyfriend for a couple of yrs it was ok because we really love one another. The journeys were tiresome at times and in the end one of us moved closer. I think its ok for a short time but too long and it can get a little too much!

Hell no - try three and a half hours, which is 250 miles for us, and we're still making it work.

Roll on six months when she's moving up. :-)
