My 3 month pup goes pee on the potty pad but will never poop there. When he's about to poop I will put him on the pad and he still walks away. I even tried ignoring him.

Lemme tell you something. I don't know why he won't poop on the pad but, having a dog that has pooped on paper for over ten years is not fun. We started paper training him as a puppy beacuse we got him in the winter. He is a small breed but still would prefer to poop on the paper than outside. I am so tired of my laundry room smelling. Please for your own sanity take that dog outside as many times a day as he wants to avoid misery for the entire life span of your dog.

crate guidance works. use it. potty pad guidance isn't something yet a funds racket for the inventors as your dogs won't at taken with something of that's existence bypass to the bathing room on something however the pad. particular perchance as that's older while you're taking the pad outdoors you have fulfillment in retraining it yet you're surely telling the dogs that's okay to pee and poop interior the abode. Take the dogs outdoors!

I realize this invention has been working but its really just for lazyness and people who shouldnt really have dogs in a sense because since when is it reasonable to potty train a dog twice first on the pad and then outside come on just put them outside every time they move until there trained and you'll be much better off and if this sounds like to much take the dog back. sorry but true my point really was just that it is not in anyway natural for a dog or any animal to go to the bathroom on a fabric this has to be very confusing to the animals, ok not the couch not the rug just the cotton pad please, good luck though Kim

well he will get the hang of it but it is still a baby and he will out grow this urge not to go on the puppy pad . I have a very small dog and my vet does not urge any one to take a puppy out untill they are fully vaccinated and protected especially if you have a community yard such as ours in our complex. Everybody uses the grass here and we do not know if the dogs are vaccinated or not . so we just use the puppy pads . good luck I hope I helped.

Well first is your puppy pad in a place that is dark and secretive, puppies like to go where they know they are not being watched. Its like people we close the bathroom door so we can be alone to do our business, ignoring him won't work the best way is to put the puppy pads in a place that is dark and hidden like a corner.
