I have the feeling that people dont care about the truth they just want to hear soft words.

I get Best Answer pretty often, but some people have in mind what kind of answer they're looking for, some standard politically correct BS that they expect. Other times, you get thumbs down for being politically correct.

I never pay attention to any of that. I tell what's on my mind, the right answer that people need to hear. if they don't like it, well, that's their problem. I'm only trying to help, even if I'm slightly sarcastic at times. Some people always try to hurt others in their answers, but I only do it when it's necessary. Good night!

Maybe your advise isn't that good, no offense. Try telling them the truth, but in a positive way, so that they know you're trying to help their situation rather than insulting them. If you want to tell them something they might take offensively, add words like "sorry", "I hate to have to tell you this", "no offense"(you see I used that one), and "good luck". And don't expect to get a "best answer" if you're not really trying to help the person. Answer questions that make you really want to give your best advise and help the person asking. Also, you may be better at answering questions in some categories than in others. Eventually you'll find the area that you're best at giving advice in. But it's good that you give people your honest opinion, that's what they want, really, they just want to hear it in a kind way so that they know you're not simply insulting them. Hope that helped :)

The truth can hurt... And you get your answer deleted for telling the truth sometimes...

Just be faithful to the way you feel the answer should be put... I only do it for a bit of fun, but someone thought some of my answers were good enough to be the best answer... Stop looking for points... Go with your heart/commonsense...;)

They can't handle the truth!

Keep it, short, simple and palatable. You'll get "Best Answer" soon enough.

You usually need to be first to answer and it helps to know exactly what the answer is and not just an opinion.

Not true, because I get pretty candid at times and I get my share of best answers.
