when I make my slow cooker beef stew I ry to stir it at least twice duroing cooking just to make sure that there is enough liquid in it. If you have it on high heat you will want to do it loner. Also, 10 hours is a long time to cook anything like a soup in a slow cooker.

10 hours is a long time but it depends on what type ie.. chicken/ beef etc. But the thicker it is the more often u stir. For now maybe once every hour or two or so as it gets thicker more often just make sure the bottom does not burn

Think it's recommended not to open the cooker to check/stir while cooking. Probably could stir it after it's done, before serving.

If you are cooking it on low and have enough liquid there really is no need to stir.
If you take the lid off you are letting out the steam and heat that cooks the food.

10 HOURS???? JUST MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT STICK TO THE BOTTOM CUZ IT WILL BURN AND RUIN THE WHOLE THING.
