I doubt very much if you could submit anything other than the originals in order to win a prize. Anyone could have made a copy, so it seems unlike the copy would enable you to claim anything.

I am sure that just a photocopy of the numbers would not be accepted since they could be changed and then photocopied without being detectable. I know that lotto tickets usually have a serial number on them. If the lotto computer keeps a copy of the serial number along with the number choices and you had a photocopy of the serial number and no one turned in the ticket then maybe.

Yes no probs as all info is on the copy. Even if you didnt have copy as long as you knew the numbers and where and when you purchased the tickets lotto will investigate for you and if you are genuine you will get your winning.

Ps, B4 I answered there was only one person answered and as I submitted there were loads, all saying you cannot. I still say you can, reason is it is only you that knows exactly all the answers to the questions that the lotto will investigate, you will hopefully remember the time, date and place of purchase of the tickets and as you have a copy of the winning ticket thee is no way you can deface another with similar numbers to the winning one because it aint just pop up and get ur big win, there are numbers on the tickets and unless you have a memory like lottos computer you will get caught out if u are trying a fast one, but if you are genuine get in contact with lotto if your numbers come up or better still it would be easier for you if you knew about the ticket loss before the draw, that way lotto will know about you and may either send you a copy of the ticket or give the outlet you got it from if near you a reference number or something like that for them to give you another ticket. Its only you as I said before that knows all the answers if you are genuine, its impossible to con them because of being asked a lot of questions re the ticket. One thing that you and lotto should know is, as its a syndicate if you use the same numbers every time, is it sat or wed and sat? again only you will know, how long approx have you been putting these numbers on? do you use the same outlet? if you do great as you may be well known to the people at shop as Mrs ? who puts on 4 lines every SAT for so long, that is a good help to you. As you are running a syndicate, I feel that you havent registered it with lotto otherwise they would have had it on record, its advisable to setup a syndicate properly as I remember somebody gets clobbered for winnings tax and you dont want to be that person. So just to give u a quick run down, OK u have a copy, u could have picked it up but if u did and the real person realised the loss and contacted lotto, they only know the full answers, u might get into trouble for that, better to hand it in and get a nice reward than posible prosecution. But if if its your tickets and you have been using same outlet and all the other answers you only know apart from lotto, then I am 100% sure you will get your winnings, you cannot fiddle them as there will be too many questions asked that only the buyer will know, if you are genuine nand cannot remember a couple of answers dont worry because there will be enough asked to prove your loss.

Please let me know how you get on if you are completely genuine and you have won. Jimmy Essex ngland. isabled Scottish Gentleman
PS2 ADY just reminded me what I was also going to say and that was if your ticket is not genuine then the winning one is claimed and its the copy u have given well u then could be in a hell of a mess, there are too many ways of catching the crooks, someone who wins ex amount of millions aint going to wait that long to claim as the quicker the money is claimed the quicker its in the bank and making interest.
Thanks ADY for reminding me, there are other things I wanted to say but forgot because I have suffered strokes and my short term. memory is a bit on the poor side.

PS3 Just noticed my PS's wrre longer than my main answer, also I knew I was right and thanks to the young lady below me Indy she has proved me right.

Your ticket is your responsibility, if you lose it then you increase the risk of not being able to claim your prize.

Each time that you pay and play, make a mental note of where you put your ticket. Why not get a box file or home safe and label it "MY SAFE PLACE!" Use this file, sceret draw or home safe to ensure the safe keeping of all of your important documents.

Don't end up like the man who won 3 Million on the Lottery but only realised and tried to claim after the 6 month cut off point. It was big news at the time and even though he was able to prove his entitlement to the Win, the Lottery law makers rejected the claim in principal.

It is unlikely they would pay-out without authentic tickets. However, they may check your previous purchases and wait a period of time for any alternative claim and decide that you are genuine. I wouldn't hold your breath though

No. Anyone could have photocopied them - that's what they would say.

don't know, but I wouldn't worry about it until you win, which is highly unlikely, so it wont be a problem
