I'm very happy with Garnier Fructis, and I recently read a review saying there isn't much difference from expensive shampoos - this was the one they most recommended. Also use a defrizzing serum or leave-in conditioner to make it stay silky and smooth all day.

I really love Garnier in the green bottles, its super cheap and I always get compliments on my hair. Also, I read an article in Glamour magazine a couple of months ago which recommended White Rain shampoo, it's only $2 or something and they said it was one of the best.

The Infusium 23 line of haircare has an excellent shampoo and they also have a spray "leave-in" conditioner that is REALLY good. It also detangles your wet hair to make for easier combing. You can get them at Wal-Mart for less than $5.00.

Usually cheap means less powerful ingredients. If you want your hair to look like you just stepped out of a salon, you are going to have to cough up some dough.

Vo5 shampoo cost $1 and tax at Dollar general. I use the split end treatment plus their conditioner, which also costs only a buck. It helps mend split ends and prevents them.
