i got a haircut, a short almost bob like haircut. anyways, the lady layered it in the back and i discovered that when i take showers, the layers in the back of my head flip outwards to much and it looks frizzy. i can use a straightner in the front of my hair, but my hair is to short in the back to use the starightner, plus it does nothing.

i have tried hair mousse, hairspray, and even hair serums, but nothing works. should i use something heavier like hair gel? what should i do?

Flat iron will take care of that in an instant, I have the same problem.

This might not be the problem, but it sounds like you need a recut. If your stylist would do a little undercutting, it will make the hair curve under but if it is layered up a lot, it may not help. I agree with the other answers about good conditioning and a flat iron. Hopefully, your hair grows quickly and you can get it cut again in a better style.

The best is a product called Straighten Out from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens or CVS. You'll love it!
