Wow..latrino..that is a new one. That is extremely insulting if he was referring to you as a toilet race. If you mean latino then I think he was just trying to be politically correct and meant no insult. Mabye you should get him to clarify what he said..latrino (extremely insulting) and latino (trying to be politicaly correct i assume). Anyways it could have also been a slip of tounge and that does happen and if he said it in a friendly way I wouldnt assuem they were trying to insult you..but if he said it in a cocky way then he probably was being insulting. I would get him to clarify. If you feel insulted then more then likely he did insult you.

Hmmm, when i first read this question i was like, uhhhh are you a latino..then i looked closer and realized it could be insulting. Unless thats a typo "Latrino" could be an insult. Latrine, Latin, Latino...a latrine is what they call a bathroom in the military. Are you latino? If so the person was probably trying to be funny, a jerk, and you shouldve said something to him or her. Latrino....sheesh, people are creative when it comes to insults and racial slurs..why cant we be this creative and help solve some of the worlds problems?

If you let it offend you...then I guess it was an insult.
People are way too sensitive about such things.
The book "Your Erroneous Zone" should be required reading for EVERYONE. No one can make you offended. You can only become offended if you allow yourself to be offended.

Your name is Juan...are you Latino? If so, why on earth would you be offended? If you are not Latino, then politely inform someone that you arent....but still, why be insulted? Why is everyone so hypersensitive about race?

From what I understand, it is not. Latinos use that word to describe themselves. They do not like to be called Hispanics.

Latrine is another word for toilet. So, I believe your coworker was either insulting you or joking with you.
