The Catholic church is a non-Christian cult that teaches dogma that contradicts the Word of God.

Because "Christians" are generally gentiles raised in cultures apart from the strict Juaistic educational system, so it was decided by the apostles . . . I'll just paste it in:
Acts 15:19-20
Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. KJV
The more important thing for new converts to the faith is to have faith. Once a Christian begins to become more familiar with what pleases God, those things that displease will fall away.

I'm sorry, but that's just convoluted logic! You are taking the reference in 2 Cor completely out of context in reference of using an image of Christ as a reminder. The proper analogy of the wife to remember her husband (who say is off at war or something) is to keep a photograph close to her of him. There is no adultery or anything like that involved, just as there is no idolatry involved in having a sacred image as a reminder of the one we love - Jesus, Our Lord and Savior.

Exo.20:3-17
3 "You shall have no other gods before me.
4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

Do you carry pictures of your relatives? Well, The Holy Family and the Saints are our relatives. I am sorry that they are not yours. I bet, you eat pork now don't ya? That was taboo too. How about around Christmas time everybody just loves Nativity scenes, aren't they idols too? It is the very same thing Catholics do, only we just do it year round. I feel sorry for you, you are just getting the odor of a delicious banquet, but because of your pride you will not enter into the dinning hall. Too bad.

well..The second commandment states (Exodus 20:4 KJV) "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:"
Unfortunately, the Catholic's 10 Commandments do not contain that one...Instead, they took the 10th commandment and broke it up into 2 parts.

A better question might be why do most of those images portray Jesus as some light skinned European?
