Yes, one can be divorced by desertion. An unbelieving spouse physically leaving the marriage and refusing to be married anymore.

To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace (1 Corinthians 7:12-15).

If you want to know what the Bible says about it...
Luke 16:18, "Everyone putting away his wife, and marrying another, commits adultery. And everyone marrying her who has been put away from a husband commits adultery."

If someone gets divorced for reasons other than sexual infidelity and that person remarries, then that person has committed adultery. The person is still married to their original spouse in the eyes of God.

If someone gets divorced for reasons other than sexual infidelity and that person never remarries, then that person has not committed adultery. In other words, the person has to remain unmarried for life, unless that person goes back to the original spouse.

Hope this helps.

You are only an adulterer if you messed around on your spouse, God says that is the only way to divorce from your spouse.

Adultery is any sex outside of marriage. A person would not be free to marry another without it being considered adultery but the person could remain celibate and it would not be adultery. Plus, if the other person (the one they divorced) committed adultery, then this person would be free to remarry.

Yes, if they remarry or engage in sex. Adultery is not an unforgivable sin.The story of the woman at the well tells this.In the case of brutality in the marriage I think God would not consider the divorcee an adulterer if they remarry.

Yes. Matthew 19:9 "and I say unto you, whosoever shall put away his wife, except for it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery; and whoso marrieth her which is put away, doth commit adultery"
