I need to junk a 89 Dodge Spirit in Orange County. She still runs but the transmission is going. Where would be the best place to junk it and get the most dollar.
Or, would it be better to donate this vehicle, would it be excepted in this condition, and right it off...??????

Most places that accept donated vehicles will accept them in most any condition as they then sell them for junk.. Another thing you can do is strip parts off the car and sell them on e-bay and then junk the rest

Writing it off on your taxes is the best thing. Donate it and they will give you a tax credit towards what your income for what you are paying taxes out of. In another words, If you made say $10,000 this year, as you can't write it off for last year since you would not be donating it until this year, and the value of the car was $500, then you would only be paying taxes on $9,500.
