actually, yes
when my wedding was held, they said the day went by too long and that it was such short notice, and that i was rushing into things (it was my first, and still lasting marriage), nobody hardly came to mine, and because i didnt have the money or anything, i had to have mine in a court house in front of a magistrate
but when my sister got married for the third time, everyone wanted to be there, hers was a lot nicer, more financial needs were met, and everyone went to hers and they all say what a nice wedding and stuff and why wasnt mine as nice? that i should have had a church wedding too
and now i have another sister about to get married, and she's making hers to be the biggest deal ever, and they still talk bad about mine...it's not cool

I think so-my sister didnt have a big wedding but i am sure when i do it will take the moving of the earth to get my mom to come to mine.
In fact i am sure my sister will decide to have a real wedding and take away from my day at the same time

My parents almost went broke trying to pay for my sisters wedding and all they had to do was show up to mine and they didn't want to. Yes it's annoying!

yes! i think that is so unfair.. was she the first born daughter? the brides side usually plays a bigger part in the wedding and maybe they feel like they've done it all before! try and get them excited by asking them for ideas.. it doesnt mean you have to use them! it just gets them interested.. or accidentally on purpose let half details slip and refuse to say more hehe.. congrats on engagement x

yeah it hurts , but get over it or it will eat you up inside. i just pay less attention to my parents. when they get old an feeble, then my siblings (who got more attention cause their younger) will be the ones who can take care of our parents when they are infirm . payback feels good
