Ouch I can sympathize mine got ripped out surfing and it really sucked I to want mine repierced as far as the bumps go I also had those still slightly do but if they are red or look like pimples it could be you have bacteria under the skin and it needs to be addressed the way mine was I should have gotten stitches from the manner it happened that could have been the case with you as well. My scar also split up a month ago or so since I'm pregnant and have excema that was caused from scratching. Often when a belly button ring gets ripped out sometimes it wasnt pierced that far in let it reheal for a year and gives the skin time to repair itself and relax because you want it to heal from the outside in before getting another and causing more trauma to it. When they repierce it they will likely go a little deeper and have to go through some scar tissue while the first time didnt hurt really the second most likely you'll feel more then the clamp.

You are so lucky that it did not get infected. Are the bumps red? If so, go to the doctor. Do not repierce until you know for sure that there aren't any problems.
If the bumps are just scar tissue, you can repierce but you may end up with even more scar tissue. I would not chance it.

Dont get it done again. Its not safe because it obviously has scar tissue, thats what the bumps are. And it could do some damage.

my belly button ring fell off too. i went to get it checked out from a doctor and i had a professional look at my belly button and he said that if i want it repriced I'd have to wait until my belly button completely heals. he said for mine to heal will take almost a year. if i get it pierced now it will just get infected and fall out. he said that each person's belly button is curved a certain way and if you don't Peirce it a certain way then it will also fall out. so my advice is to wait for it to heal and go get it checked out.

my best advice is not to. Wait at least a year or so, so your skin will be ready.
