A blister on the mouth is herpes, yes. It is just a sore. And right, it's not the genital form.

No! You could get a blister on your lip from other things, it could just be a cold sore even. Either way though i would avoid contact with it because even if it is just a cold sore it's still contagious, and there is the chance that it could be herpes. Better safe then sorry right?

No that's not nice! Thats what it is ...but if others are around and hear only half of what you are saying to that person,it will spread like a disease...you know what I mean.
The most common fever blisters are canker and cold sores they are caused by Hsv-1 but are not contagious.Be polite about it cause it could be you next time that gets it.Be a friend and buy him or her some Carmex lip gloss. You can buy it for under $1.50 at Wal-mart, Target or any drug store.
Hope that helps some.

yes, just like shingles, and chicken pox are also a form of herpes. if you see someone with a blister on their lip, don't kiss them or allow them to put their mouth down there on you or you will get the gift that keeps on giving.

No unless it is truely a cold sore you have no clue what the blister is from. Maybe they burnt their lip on hot coffee or cocoa. Maybe they had a nasty pimple that looks like a cold sore. With out asking there is no way to know for sure what it is.

most of the time it is herpes and you could catch the virus if you kiss the person or drink after them especially if it is an open sore.

no. absolutly not. i've gotten blisters on my lip but it was from bitting my lips when i'm nervouse or a cold sore. other people get blisters from a kissing style where they bite eachother's lips when they kiss pationetly.
