No. You don't refreeze meat that's been completely thawed. You should've cooked it after you thawed it the first time, and then you could've frozen the cooked meat. But now you're just going to have to throw it out.

In some cases, if the meat still had ice crystals in it, very cold, yes. In the case of ground beef, no. It's already got too much of a chance of being contaminated. Take no chances, don't even give it to the dog.

Thawing and freezing your meat will cause the meat to get warm and grow bacteria. This is not healthy!Thawing and freezing may also change the texture and moisture content.

I would never, never, never defrost meat and then refreeze. Way too big a chance of samanilla(sp) growing in it. I think it is safer to throw away and get new.
