19 million americans have depression and these are the ones getting treated. Most of depressed people aren't getting treatment.
When will I die? I will likely live another 20 years but looking at the past, that doesn't sound like fun. When asking when to die, the question should really be, Why don't I want to live?
Make a list. Sort into priorities... have to fix....want to fix....like to fix. Deal with the necessary items first. The goal is to make possible some wins so you will feel better about having some control over your life.
Get some medical help because depression is a physical condition caused by imbalance of brain nutrients. Naturopathic or holistic approaches seem to work will less side effects but are often not strong enough so they need to be used in conjunction with prescribed drugs. Stress of the wrong kind is a major contributor to depression. Antidepressants are dangerous and can cause further issues. Often prescribed serotonin reuptake inhibitors decrease dopamine (feel good) to increase serotonin (another feel good) nutrient. I can't make any sense why any doctor would prescribe these drugs cause on one hand they give benefits and on the other hand they decrease the benefits plus they can cause further imbalance in brain chemistry and have severe side-effects. Plus they can cause serotonin syndrome which most doctors who prescribe these drugs are ignorant of and never inform you of the symptoms.
One clue to a physical problem is whether your history shows evidence that you can function quite well most of the time but periodically everything goes to hell. This is only one kind of indication that a lack of nutrients may be the problem. Stress causes brain chemistry to go out of whack. Reduce stress.
Step one is getting diagnosed to determine if you have depression and how severe it is. More than a month of depression is considered severe. There are a number of free online tests for depression.
Get some psychological help because this needs to be done in tandem with medical help to bring about lasting relief. A psychiatrist will be able to determine proper drug treatment as well as dealing with mental/emotional issues/stressors. A psychologist only deals with the mental issues: perceptual issues can cause depression.
Nutritional help is a must.
Reducing stress is extremely important. However, many government agencies like Workers Compensation Board only increase stress levels because of what I call the sabotaging government greed syndrome. ie. Let's stress out people financially so they will take forever to get better. Finances are a major stressor that prevents people from getting help and getting better.
Think about the people in your life who appreciate you. How would they be affected by your lack of enthusiasm for life? How much would they suffer if you were gone? Having a good friend can really help too. There are organizations that can help you when life gets too hard to deal with but I find most of these organizations only want to deal with suicidal persons. In fact, this behaviour almost promotes suicidal threats and behaviour in order to get help. So always say you are suicidal even if you aren't. Just don't get suicidal cause they could lock you away.
Often people think that killing themselves will stop the pain. It won't. So what then?
Try reading books about depressions. They might help too.
Yesterday, I cried is a great book. When I read it, the book really put into perspective my suffering vs the author's suffering. In contrast, my suffering seems miniscule compared to the author's and this definitely made up my mind that suicide is a useless emotion.
There is more stress in the world today than there has ever been. You must find a way to depress from the stress of daily living. The more enjoyment you get from life, the less you will be asking about when you will die. Get help to make the changes that will make you feel good about your life. Good luck!

It's sh1t being sick of life isn't it? Sometimes it feels like everythings just wrong. Thing is, even though it doesn't feel like it, things do get better, you get stronger after each experience. Life is full of ups and downs. I was raped when I was 15. I thought I'd never be happy again. Friends relatives die, its so painful. Partners are unfaithful, people let you down... BUT there are so many good things and special times in our lives and hard times lead you to cherish them more. You've got to fight against yourself and pull yourself through, no matter how slow it may feel. There's only one person in life you can rely on 100% and that is yourself. Look after yourself, you are very precious. Talk to someone if you can, if not, phone a help line if you feel that way, that is what they are there for, never feel you shouldn't or you are being silly. They are there for you, because people care, even though they don't know you. Like me writing this. I hope you find your way. Take care x

hi
As you have been thinking about suicide, get help right away. You can’t wait and hope that your mood might improve. When a person has been feeling down for a long time, it's hard to step back and be objective.
Talk to someone you trust as soon as you can. If you can’t talk to a parent, talk to a coach, a relative, a school counselor, a religious leader, or a teacher.
When struggling with problems, it helps to:
Tell someone you trust what’s going on with you.
Be around people who are caring and positive.
Ask someone to help you figure out what to do about a problem you’re facing.
Work with a therapist or counselor if problems are getting you down and depressed — or if you don't have a strong support network, or feel you can’t cope.
Take care.

so you are not a little curiouse to what you might miss then ???youd rather be in nothingness ,cold dark not seeing feeling or hearing ,,,,,???,,,well i my self am too nosey to want to die ,i like to see whats going on ,,,,i like to have people around me and to go oout and have a laugh,or find new friends ,,,,,sounds better than being on your own in a dark hole in the ground dont it ???any way if you die ,,,after a while you will wish you hadnt ,,it must be soooo boring doing nothing for eternity,,,,
but if you do really want to be alive and have fun ,go and talk to a doctor and get the help you need ,cos no matter what crap we go through in our lives ,theres plenty of time to die later,so why not wait a while ,and if you still feel the same i five years from now go ahead,,,but i know that by this time if not tomorrow you will feel differently ,,,,bless you ,,,its just a tuff patch ,,,,do thing you lije to do and you will feel better soon ,,,ok ....

Killing yourself is not the answer. You didn't mention what is really going on with your life except that you are sick of it. Only you have the power to get help and to learn to accept your life for what it is. Find someone you can talk to be it a friend, counsleor or a minister but talk and get a handle on things. You are here for a reason stick around.

I'm truly hoping that you are just trying to get a rise out of people here.
Life isn't always easy, but it is always changing. If you are depressed then you need to speak with someone like family or friends. Please don't take your own life and find someone to talk with!
