My little brother and I are trying to figure something out.

I was disowned as a child by my father, and disowned as a youth by my stepfather.

My brother was disowned by his father (my stepfather) twice.

Is this equal?

Yes, you are equal, equally special. We are all equal. You are also equal in the fact that you have had male "father figures" in your life who apparenty are losers. I'm sorry about your past, but do not let it affect your future relationships, and how you treat your own future children. Stay close to your brother and stay strong together. Good luck

Seek counseling...the issue is not equality, it's mental health.
