I don't think God can be greater than Himself. He is Triune, equal to Himself whether He is in Christ or in The Holy Spirit. He is of One Mind and One Spirit. Remember it is written, A house divided against itself cannot stand. God is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, three in one.

Of course Jehovah God is greater. The head of every man is christ because he of course set the perfect example for us all to follow. From the way that he talked to people that he witnesses to to the way he delt with his apostles. The man should be loving to his wife in the same way and treat her as he would also want to be treated. Likewise, the head of the woman is man because he is the head of the household. So she should respect that and be submissive to him.

Heb 2:7-9 7 You made him a little lower than angels; with glory and honor you crowned him, and appointed him over the works of your hands. 8 All things you subjected under his feet.” For in that he subjected all things to him [God] left nothing that is not subject to him. Now, though, we do not yet see all things in subjection to him; 9 but we behold Jesus, who has been made a little lower than angels, crowned with glory and honor for having suffered death, that he by God’s undeserved kindness might taste death for every [man].
Matt. 26:39, RS: “Going a little farther he [Jesus Christ] fell on his face and prayed, ‘My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.’” (If the Father and the Son were not distinct individuals, such a prayer would have been meaningless. Jesus would have been praying to himself, and his will would of necessity have been the Father’s will.)
John 8:17, 18, RS: “[Jesus answered the Jewish Pharisees:] In your law it is written that the testimony of two men is true; I bear witness to myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness to me.” (So, Jesus definitely spoke of himself as being an individual separate and distinct from the Father.)
Mark 13:32, RS: “Of that day or that hour no ones knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Of course, that would not be the case if Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were coequal, comprising one Godhead. And if, as some suggest, the Son was limited by his human nature from knowing, the question remains, Why did the Holy Spirit not know?)

Why is the head of the body greater than the body? The head plans what the body will do, and the body submits. Jesus submitted to the will of God, and therefore God is greater. Yet they are still One, even as the mind and the body are separate manifestations or aspects of a person, and yet they are one.

SAY WHAT? The head of every man is Christ? OK, Let me answer your question. First off GOD is the creator. So that makes him the head man or the boss or whatever word you understand. That is if there is a GOD at all. And Chirst is Mary & Joseph's son so GOD still out ranks him. Got it? Or did I just confuse you?

They are one of the same. God is the head of Jesus because Jesus is God in a human form. But it doesn't mean one is greater than the other

Yes, so Jehovah as the Creator of his only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, is greater than Jesus in all things.
Since Jesus used Jehovah's Holy Spirit to create all things seen and unseen, then we as puny humans should recognize Jehovah's Sovereignty and worship him the way his son Jesus showed us how.
