Most states make selling any type of chance to win a prize illegal, even for a good cause or charity.
Having said that, it is seldom enforced or punished unless it gains a lot of attention and the police get feedback from other uptight citizens to prosecute. Also, if you are doing it for any personal pforit, it will likely get you in trouble.
