How do i choose car insurer that will not screw me when i make a claim ?

i read reviews on insurers and im scared, as people who had to claim (even those having comprehensive policies in place) were often refused compensation (e.g. tesco customer especialy when accident was their fault) or treated unprofessionally (also by top insurers like norwich union, axa, churchil.

i dont need to know what insurer is cheaper. BUT if u were happy how your insurer handled your claim ! epecially if this accident was your fault - if so, what insurer was it ?

First pick a well known (brand name) insurer.

Then use common sense. If you need to make claim make such a nuisance of yourself to the company and stand your ground (never ever accept their first offer!) and I promise that eventually it will be more cost effective to pay your claim to get you to go away.

Good luck, car insurance/home insurance is one of the biggest rackets out there!

Very important to be very truthful when taking out insurance. Most difficulties with claims result when policy holder has concealed something to get cheaper insurance.

State Farm is a good auto insurance company. I had a minor fender bender and it was ruled my fault . They didn't go nuts by raising my rate sky high . I wouldn't use them for home insurance but they did alright my me in the auto insurance.
