Ok, I really don't want any ignorant Christian answers(though I know Ill get some). Im a Luciferian and want to know why we're considered evil. We're called a cult(but then again, we don't claim that we're the only true way, so doesn't that make us less of a cult than other religions?) We're said to sacrifice and torture( No true cases have been proven of our people doing such things for religious purposes). We're called evil because we follow Satan/Lucifer(why does this make us evil, it's not like we believe he's the being from the bible, worshipping that would just be dumb. We believe he's the being written about in the inspired texts of the Yezidi(which are older then the New Testament) and the many texts written by Aliester Crowley. This being and the demons who are under him are not evil, but neutral. They wish for us to indulge into carnality along with paths of enlightenment and spirituality to become everything we can be, reach our highest potential). Why are we slandered?

People often say that people are killed in Satans name and that's evil. Well look at how many people were killed in Christs name during events such as the Inquisition and Crusades. Has Satanism ever attempted genocide? Im not going to lie, the religion isn't the purest, we do enjoy sex and wealth. But we don't shove our religion down peoples throats like Christians who go door to door preaching, we allow people to come to us, and leave if they wish. If someone were to go to a Luciferian convention, they would learn that the people there are not blood crazed maniacs, but instead their personalities can range from hateful fanaticism, to being lovely, rational, and often times philosophical. I hate that we're mistreated so badly by people who don't understand our beliefs. We don't worship evil, we worship a being of balance who we believe wishes us to be great.

Continuing on with our beliefs, we don't kill animals and dance around nude. We usually wear robes(mine is very similar to a midevil Christian monks, though it's black). The main parts to our worship is in fact meditation! We do hold rituals with black candles, but the most Ive ever sacrificed it pricking my finger to offer a single drop of my blood. Better than being held underwater suffocating and killing brain cells in baptism(mabye Ive found the root of the ignorance here?)

well, after reading my previous details, Ive realized that Ive been quite angry during them. I apologize to everyone for any offenses caused, Just that earlier today I was not let into a local reataurant because Im open about my religion...Im sorry to anyone who was offended. Im just so tired of being stereotyped...But continuing on with my beliefs. Christians often tell me that Christianity is not a religion, but a lifestyle and relationship with God. But thing is...isn't that what all religions are, lifestyles, beliefs systems, and their followers love for their Gods? I love Satan and would do anything for him...

You don't want any ignorant Christian answers...how about no ignorant answers........Do you want an answer from someone who has seen both sides of the fence?
The reason Luciferians are considered evil is because it is such a secretive order of people who don't go around declaring their religion like Christians do. Can you imagine what would happen to George Bush if he were to reveal to the world that he is a practicing high ranking Freemason: and that he actually worships Lucifer- God of the light/knowledge(the All-seeing Eye)? the world would tear him up! What is evil anyway? LIVE spelled backwards? Questioning traditions? Did Lucifer and the other Fallen Angels not fall because they "questioned" their God/Creator? They rebelled. They had free will like we do. Lucifer and Azazel refused to bow before God's creation(man) and contemplated being a God themselves and being worshipped, thus they were thrown out of heaven....If you question the church, you are considered evil. If you ask why everyone is killing in the name of "Allah" or God, then you are a heretic.......Is knowledge really evil?Ipsa Scientia Potestas Est", or is truth really evil? Maybe it is time for the Luciferians to come out of the closet and tell the world what they really believe and quiet all the rumors and misconceptions about their religion. Many Catholics rant and rave that they are religious, yet they live together and procreate, not to mention, worship Mary( a mortal woman- IDOLATRY), seduce children, all while worshiping and declaring that they are God's representative...Is that evil? You betcha. The Golden Dawn and OTO use rituals from the Kabbalah (pentragrams, tetragrams, conjurings, etc) ancient Jewish traditional magic.......is that evil, if the God of Israel gave them (jews) directives on how to conjure up demons to do their bidding(King Solomon and the building of the temple with the "Ring of Virtue" that had the seal of God on it)? The Greater and Lesser Keys of Solomon were created this way.........I think ignorance creates slander, fear, and misconceptions about religion and the foundations of each religion.

If you ask me, there's not much to choose between "Luciferianism" and Christianity.

You say tomato, they say tomato. The type of thing you're describing here is just another kind of "orthodoxy." Christians think it's neat to idolize Jesus, and you think it's neat to idolize Lucifer/Satan. Really, it's the same thing.

Don't get me wrong - I think "Satanists" and their ilk are generally more interesting than Christians, and a lot more fun at parties. At least they've rebelled against the superstition in which they were (probably) raised - but the danger is that they tend to fill the void left by the annihilation of the idolized "Jesus" with an idolized concept of "Satan." But this may also represent a necessary gateway to the realization that either "being" is merely a symbol, and the symbols are interchangable.

To paraphrase Crowley, one must avoid mistaking the symbols for the things they represent.

Very good point...

I am not a christian or a satanist, but i do have a few friends who are. They actually live in more of a "christian" lifestyle than most christians i know.

They take responsibility for there own life and actions rather than continuing in there indulgences only to get "forgiven" on Sunday.

they are not "evil" they simply don't except the biblical definition of Satan but because they have the satanic label they are automatically baby sacrificing devil worshipers. most of the misconceptions about satanism are in fact propaganda put out buy the christian churches.

i may not agree with you but i wish you all the happiness you strive for.

:-)

I don't have an answer as I am an atheist. Why do christians say atheists worship the devil? Some say that because we don't worship god, then we worship the devil. Insane isn't it.

Because the bible is a onesided story with no room for opposition.

I don't believe that satan is evil, or that god is good. Quite the opposite, if they exist at all.

many xians find that paths named after their evil dieties are evil. they do not study them and therefore are ignorant to what they mean. I believe in the more metaphorical satan then a literal god, and my life has become easier. most xians were taught the ways of their god from childhood though so its not really their fault that they are closed in.

I don't know, but I feel for you. I'm Wiccan and we don't even believe in Satan, but I'm constantly being told that I'm his worshipper!! I think I know who and what I'm worshipping, wouldn't you?

I tried telling the Christians who told me that that THEY were really worshipping Woden, but they wouldn't listen. I was only fooling, but if they "know" who I'm "really" worshipping, then can't I "know" who they are "really" worshipping?

Anyway, I feel for you. Here's one person, at least, who accepts that you're not evil!

Propaganda and Church deception.

Satan, not God, has kept the church in business all these years.
