don't get me wrong, i'm a christian, i love god and christ with all my heart and feel their presence in my life has made my life better but how bout all these bible thumpers who talk about saving everyone and finding God. Well, first of all God is much more capable of finding me than I am Him and furthermore, if God is all knowing, all seeing and all loving, why do you question his will for our lives. I can assure you that God would much rather you be a good example to people who need to know him than spewing inaccuracies about what he may or may not want for my life.

I'm also a Christian, but I also have a problem with those that think they have a duty to save others when they have nothing to do with the saving other than bringing the message to them so that God can do the work in their heart.

God asks that YOU seek him, and you will find him. It does not say that God will seek you. His people will find you though, that's what all these "bible thumping televangelist converters" are. His words will find you, and his truth will find you, but only if YOU seek him. All over the bible are people plainly and painstakingly saying "seek the lord your God."

1 Kings 13:6
1 Corinthians 13:3
1 Corinthians 28:9
2 Corinthians 14:4
2 Corinthians 15:12
2 Corinthians 15:13
Ezra 4:2
Ezra 6:21
Job 5:8

Deuteronomy

4:29 But if you seek the Lord your God from there, you will find him, if, indeed, you seek him with all your heart and soul. 49 4:30 In your distress when all these things happen to you in the latter days, 50 if you return to the Lord your God and obey him 51 4:31 (for he 52 is a merciful God), he will not let you down 53 or destroy you, for he cannot 54 forget the covenant with your ancestors that he confirmed by oath to them.

His has chosen to use His children throughout history for His will. I don't understand why He does, but I know that He does. He has told us to let our light shine before man(Matthew 5:16) We are His vessels, His workmanship(Ephesians 2:10)

It shouldn't be about His will for our lives, it should be about His will and we adjust our lives to join in His will-( Henry Blackaby.)

He wants you to serve Him and if you are doing that, then you shouldn't be concerned about what others are saying.

We as believers need to be good examples, this I agree wholeheartedly, but you as a believer, also need to be a example to belivers around you. I have found time and time again that the ones that have a problem with anything I am doing, are the ones that are weaker Christians. I need to be careful not to cause them to stumble, but to also understand where they were at and that I was once there.

Grace could happen alot more amongst believers as well. You might just leave an impression on their lives to grow and mature more than they are.

Ok, I am going to answer your question starting with a question. If you are truly a believer, don't you want others to know the love of our God as well? Now I will say that I really think what you are trying to say is , sharing faith is fine, but if done outside of love then it is not right. Am I correct in this assumption? Yes you are right that God is the one that seeks us out. However, it also says in scripture in Matthew that we are to make disciples of all men. I do pray that when I share my faith with others, they hear about His love and grace and not see someone who who acts holier than thou. Without Christ there is no good in any of us, and that means HE IS THE ONLY HOLY ONE!! When we accept His salvation , He cloths us with His Righteousness and that is what non believers need to see, Him not us!

I don't believe that you are a christian in your heart as much as you are with your mouth. As a christian who are you to judge what or how God uses His people to spread His love, hope and word around? There are those that are very serious about thier faith and to obey the Lord's command to go and tell every creature the good news that there is salvation in Christ.

Religion is the problem to me. You'd never find atheists knocking on your door at 7 damn AM to talk about irrational subject matter. Seriously, 7 o'clock on a saturday.

Hope I don't mean me... I'm not holier than anyone. Just a miserable human being saved by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Sometimes I just get so excited about Him that I get carried away...

That is our duty to spread the word but I only tell it once or twice to the same person. I plant the seed and Jesus makes it grow. After I have told them, I have done my duty

Well, most of them are probably well-intentioned - but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
